Greening the Heartland 2004: Beyond Sustainability is setting the stage as the region's leading green building and sustainability conference. It will include keynote sessions delivered from the nation's foremost sustainability thought leaders and a broad spectrum of concurrent sessions addressing key sustainability components that must be advanced as we continue our journey to a sustainable future.

We anticipate up to 1,000 attendees and 40-60 exhibitors for this two-day event. The conference will also feature six tracks with 36 breakout sessions dedicated to Design and Construction, Alternative and Renewable Energy, Regional Perspectives, Education, Health and Social Issues, and Government and Business.

In addition to a strong conference program, an optional half-day Government and Business Forum will conclude Friday's activities. Recognizing the important roles our elected officials play in advancing our sustainability agenda, we have developed this forum to promote the implementation of sustainable practices into business as well as government. Plan to attend Scenarios for the Future-A Government and Business Forum if you are a government official or from the private sector interested in learning how to most effectively impact a sustainable future. More information about the Forum can be found on our conference schedule.

Greening the Heartland 2004: Beyond Sustainability is presented by The Missouri Heartland Organizing Group of the U.S. Green Building Council.
